Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes! So that we can give each bride our undivided attention, our showroom is by appointment only, and cannot accommodate walk-ins.  

How far in advance should I start gown shopping?

For a stress-free timeline, plan on ordering your dress 5 to 6 months prior to your wedding date.

There are rush options available for weddings under 2.5 months.

What is the price range of your gowns?

Gowns at Akmaral Bridal range from $1,200- $4,000.

What should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend bringing nude undies, spanx, or a strapless bra for the best experience.

Am I allowed to take photos?

We encourage photos but only if taken by the sales associate. We want you and your party to enjoy the experience. We find that when multiple parties take pictures during the appointment it takes time away from the appointment and the experience.

Can I bring guests?

Of course! Our normal limit is 4 guests, but if you have more people in your party, please email us.

What sizes do you carry in store?

Our showroom has sample sizes from 4 to 18 and can make dresses in any size requested. Please remember that bridal sizes are smaller than regular US sizes, so it’s best to refer to our sizing chart.

Are all styles customizable?

Yes, you can customize just about anything: fabric, design, sizing, etc.

Do you make custom designs?

If you have something specific in mind for your wedding day, we can design and craft a custom gown just for you. Please fill out our form.

What is your pricing for custom dresses?

The cost of each dress varies based on the design intricacy and fabric selection. To get an estimate please fill out our form.

What is the timeline for a custom dress?

The custom dress process takes 11-17 weeks. Start early if you have time!

Is there an appointment cancellation policy?

Yes, we kindly ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule your visit or you will forfeit the appointment fee. We host private appointments and cannot fill the slots last minute.

Do you offer/include alterations?

Dresses ordered through a retailer are at a separate cost from the purchase of your gown.

Standard size order alterations are a separate cost from the purchase of your gown.

Custom design orders placed at our Lancaster showroom, are made based on your measurements and any further alterations are included in your purchase of a gown.

What if I need to cancel my order?

If our seamstress has not started working on your dress, and it is within 48 hours, your payment will be refunded in the manner in which it was made. After 48 hours, all payments are completely non-refundable. 

What is a “sales event” (formerly called a “trunk show”) ?

A trunk show is an exclusive event where a designer will send their new collection for one weekend only. These gowns are often not yet available in stores for purchase. We do not recommend booking trunk shows as a first bridal experience as appointments tend to be shorter and more high pressured. Gown sizing during this time is limited to a US2- US4 with this being the designer’s runways samples. You can see all our upcoming shows on our Events page.
